Who we are
TurnItOut runs turnitout.org and is responsible for the data described here. Contact: hello@turnitout.org.
What we collect
- The text and files you submit, and the results we produce.
- Your email address and a protected form of your password, if you create an account.
- Basic technical data — your IP address and a browser cookie — to count free words and prevent abuse.
- Payment records from our payment partners. We never see or store your full card details.
How we use it
Only to run the service: producing your results, keeping your history, applying your plan’s limits, preventing abuse and answering you when you write to us. We do not sell your data and we do not publish or share your text.
How long we keep it
Submitted texts and results are kept for 30 days so you can find them in your account, then deleted. You can delete any text yourself at any time. Account and payment records are kept for as long as the law requires.
Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie, a cookie that counts free words, and a security check against automated abuse. We do not use advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it. Write to hello@turnitout.org.
